Ancestral Constellations - Back to Diaspora Roots

"A constellation reveals the re-cycling pattern of transgenerational life, past, present and future.”

Looking back down the black and brown Diaspora line can be difficult, it sometimes feels easier to look straight ahead and carry on. But when you don’t look back you risk repeating the same patterns in each generation, over and over again.

Ancestral Constellations are an integration of Western and indigenous healing modalities. Systemic constellations with its roots in Zulu family traditions and ancestral indigenous healing approaches to community. This is energy work, embodied movement and powerful vibrational medicine for Diaspora communities.

Our families from Africa, the Caribbean, South east Asia and the Far East among others, came and settled, often they didn’t go back for decades. There are patterns that have passed down the family line and ancestral legacies that impact current generations and need to be healed.

When family energy is in flow, relationships are supported, anger is dissipated and hearts are reconnected. In time, the flow of love down the generations comes back into balance. You can view an Ancestral Constellations workshop as a living family tree mapped out in a community space, with others in the gathering who will support your healing journey.

What will I get from the Workshop? 

In a workshop there is an ‘Issue holder’ mapping their personal constellation. ‘Representatives’ that are chosen to stand in the place of family members. ‘Observers’ who are viewing the constellation and the ‘Facilitator’ who is guiding the development of the constellation and holding the group energy and dynamics. There will be time for 4-5 people to bring their personal issue and map a constellation during the day. Participants who ‘map’ their own constellation will ......

• Identify where there are repetitive generational patterns that re-cycle within the family system • Look at unresolved relationship dynamics that may lie outside of their conscious awareness
• Identify how they can find ways to disentangle or separate from difficult family patterns
• Investigate where healing for generational conflict is needed and what may support it
