I work to improve your awareness of yourself and your situation in the present moment. No judgement is made on the type of difficulty you might have, you may be carrying uncomfortable feelings, or have a sense of being disconnected and lost, or suffering anxiety and stress; whatever it is, counselling will help you to become more in touch with yourself and to identify any patterns that might preventing you from moving forward. I am a dialogical counsellor which means that the exchange with my clients is very much alive, my aim is to increase your personal empowerment and to achieve greater clarity on yourself and in relation to the others.
I generally work with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, stress, self harm, low-mood and lack of motivation. I understand the value and the difficulty of being of being different and I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with issues around their sexuality, gender, ethnicity or anyone experiencing discrimination. Finally, I have a special interest in sport psychology, for those suffering injuries or retiring (both professional athletes and not).
I hold an MPhil in Philosophy and the Certificate and Diploma in Counselling at the Gestalt Centre.
