How I Work
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and will work with you to understand yourself better and to explore and attempt to resolve experiences that are causing you pain or distress. These might be ongoing issues that you have wrestled with over many years, or more acute issues that have presented themselves in recent times.
I believe a supportive and reliable therapeutic relationship, which can also involve gentle challenge to long-held assumptions, is the foundation on which psychic change can flourish. I see my clients on a once, sometimes twice weekly basis, and work in accordance with the ethical frameworks of my accrediting organisations.
Main areas of work
The issues I most commonly deal with include anxiety, depression, relationship problems, bereavement and grief. But for most clints there are usually a number of areas that are addressed over the course of the therapy.
Training / Qualifications
I trained at WPF Therapy achieving a P.G.Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice. I am also certified as an EMDR practitioner, with EMDR Europe Standard Training.
